Depicts St. Marten of Tours sharing his cloak with a beggar. Maker is unknown, but believed to possibly be from the workshop of A.E. Nelli of Florence Italy. The art is marked with "Made in Italy" includes a catalog number :2027" and a makers mark. (Though the maker's mark is worn and undeterminable by the auctioneeer.) Medallion is earthenwaare and rests in a custom made steel cradle. This is a large piece which measures 34" tall, 25.5" wide at base. Weighs 82 lbs.
